Your vehicle has passed the CVR test and you’ve received a pass statement from your test centre, but you haven’t yet received your CRW. Find out what the reasons could be and what you should do
You informed the Test Centre that the vehicle was undergoing a change of ownership. That means there will be a delay of 14 days in issuing the CRW giving you sufficient time to update the registered owner details. Where owner details have not been updated within 14 days, the CRW will automatically issue to the registered owner as per the National Vehicle Driver File. If you are happy that the registered owner details have been updated and do not wish to wait for 14 days you can use the online self service facility to have your CRW released.
The person who presented the vehicle at the test centre did not have Presenter ID available at the time of the test. Check the test report – there will be a note on the report indicating if Presenter ID was not available. There will be a hold put on the issuing of the CRW until such time as presenter ID (driver licence or passport) is produced at the test centre.
