New CVR Test Operator and CVR Tester applicants will be required to undergo training relevant to their authorisation. Here you will find further information on these training requirements.
Any CVR Test Operator or CVR Tester applying for a new authorisation will be required to undergo initial training which will include:

Following initial authorisation existing CVR Test Operators and CVR Testers will be required to complete Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training. The training will consist of a mix of practical and theoretical learning and will include:-

ADR CPD Training course for CVR Testers | 1 day every second year |
Corrective training may be required for CVR Test Operators and CVR Testers who do not obtain satisfactory marks in mandatory training courses or whose testing performance is found to fall below required standards during supervision.
Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) has been awarded the training concession contract by the RSA to deliver this training. It is intended that the training will be run on a number of different dates during the year at different locations around the country. All fees will be paid directly to TUS. Please contact the TUS for further information.
